Founded with the aim of responding to the digital revolution and its societal challenges, aivancity is a school with a mission, placing responsibility and positive impact at the heart of its educational project. In concrete terms, this ambition translates into a strong commitment to citizenship, in particular through the Citizen Commitment Program of the Grande Ecole Program, with the support of Impact Campus.

A structuring program to raise awareness and take action

aivancity's Citizen Commitment Program is part of a holistic training approach, combining academic knowledge with concrete action in the field. The program is divided into two phases:

  • Phase 1: Inspiration - Students follow a MOOC on civic engagement, accompanied by thematic conferences on social inequality, discrimination and responsible digital technology. The aim of this phase is to raise awareness of major societal issues and prepare them for future involvement.
  • Phase 2: Taking action - Each student undertakes a volunteer mission within a public-interest organization. These missions, lasting a minimum of 30 hours, are carried out between January and April, with the possibility of extension for subsequent classes.

A concrete, measurable commitment

The mid-term figures for February 2025 illustrate the success and involvement of the students:

  • 90% of students enrolled in a mission
  • 78% of students who have already started
  • 89% of students consider their experience positive
  • 60% begin to identify acquired skills
Some of the missions carried out involve supporting vulnerable groups, combating digital exclusion, and running awareness-raising workshops. 

Feedback and outlook

Students are enthusiastic about their involvement. Many of them say they have discovered a new facet of social involvement and acquired valuable skills in both communication and collaborative work.

To ensure the long-term future of this program and increase its impact, aivancity plans to :

  • Extend the program to other promotions
  • Offer a Hackathon for high-school and university students on the themes of AI and digital responsibility.
  • Strengthen support and monitoring of assignments
