Introduction

The aivancity summer school "Understanding AI and Big Data" allows French and international students and high school pupils to discover Artificial Intelligence in terms of its technical and organizational implications, and to explore the issues and challenges it poses for society.

In addition to presentations and lectures given by our professors and experts in the field, there is a strong emphasis on case studies, small group work, testimonials from AI practitioners, and visits to companies involved in AI projects.

 

Participants in this summer school will also have the opportunity to carry out two projects in AI and Data (e.g., chatbot, facial recognition, robot, data-based prediction, etc.).

 

Participants will also be able to familiarize themselves with the wide range of AI professions (data scientist, data manager, data engineer, data mining, AI project manager, AI manager, AI Architect, etc.), professions that are booming and that will structure tomorrow's job market, and more broadly to understand how AI is transforming jobs and professional practices.

This will give them the opportunity to talk to professionals and obtain information about career paths, prerequisites, and careers in AI and data, as well as how to apply AI skills in different professions and fields of activity.
