Responsible work-study programs: our commitment to making work-study programs accessible to all

responsible work-study program

At aivancity, we believe that every talented individual deserves to succeed, regardless of their means or circumstances. That's why we've designed a unique program: responsible work-study. Aimed at students in our MSc Data Management and MSc Data Engineering & Cloud Computing programs, this educational and social innovation is fully in line with our mission: to make quality education accessible to all.

A unique and supportive system

Responsible work-study programs are our response to the realities on the ground: despite their motivation and the skills they have acquired, some students admitted to work-study programs encounter difficulties in signing a contract with a host company within the legal deadlines. Rather than leaving them in limbo, we have made the bold decision to cover 100% of their first-year tuition fees through our endowment fund. This support is automatically activated if no apprenticeship or professional training contract has been signed three months after the start of the academic year.

This means that students can attend classes at aivancity as normal, following the schedule set out for the work-study program, without having to bear the financial burden of the training. They benefit from rigorous educational supervision and support from our careers service in their search for a company, and remain fully integrated into school life.

Our embodied values

This program is not an exception: it embodies the fundamental values of aivancity. As a mission-driven school, we have a responsibility to support every learner. Responsible work-study programs demonstrate our commitment to inclusion, solidarity, and social innovation. We believe that no student admitted to our school should have to give up their ambitions because they lack immediate opportunities in the workplace. In this way, we do much more than teach: we invest human and financial resources in the success of each individual.

Specific terms and conditions

  • Alternating schedule maintained: You follow the traditional teaching model (1 week per month at school, 3 weeks normally in a company). If you do not have a company placement, this time can be devoted to reinforcement projects, professional development workshops, or actively seeking a contract.

  • Status: You remain enrolled in the work-study program, but retain your student status until a contract has been signed. This means that you are not yet receiving any remuneration, but your tuition fees are fully covered by aivancity.

  • Duration: Funding covers the entire first year of the MSc. The €500 registration fee is still required upon confirmation of admission, but will be refunded in full upon signing a contract.

  • Personalized support: Our teams provide you with ongoing support in your search for a company. Coaching, job fairs, networking, interview preparation: we do everything we can to help you secure a contract, even during the academic year.
